leadmaps vs Fathom

How we stack up against Fathom. Honest, sourced, no trash talk. Fathom nailed simple, cookieless analytics. We share the default and add product-analytics depth on top.

Quick verdict

Pick leadmaps when

  • You want funnels, retention, journeys, and cohorts on the same surface.
  • You need heatmaps and session replay without breaking the privacy promise.
  • You buy on enterprise checkboxes: SAML, SCIM, IP allowlist, audit streaming.
  • You want EU residency by default on every plan.

Pick Fathom when

  • You want the simplest possible dashboard with nothing to learn.
  • Pageview counts and goals are all you need.
  • You prefer a small, focused, founder-run product.
  • You do not need funnels, replay, or enterprise SSO.

Coming from Fathom? The 5-minute path.

  1. Install the SDK

Swap the Fathom script tag for @syntarie/tracking. One init line, cookieless by default, ~5 kB on the wire.

  2. Import historical data

Export pageviews and events from Fathom, then open the workspace importer in Settings then Import and drop your file. Backfills land alongside live data with the original timestamps preserved.

  3. Add depth when you need it

Turn on funnels, retention, heatmaps, and replay from the same dashboard. Nothing new to install; it is all one SDK.
